2004 vs 2008
Position on the right has probably 20cm of drop, while the position on the left has maybe 8-10cm of drop and is the one I used for the Ironman effort of a month ago. Guess which one is more comfortable, more powerful, more aerodynamic, and ultimately faster! ;-)
Current training has been a mixed bag, though - it's been awhile since I've done my mainstay 20MP effort up Couser canyon, and man, it sure did feel like crap doing that climb this past weekend!
A long way to go before I'm feeling ready to toe the line against all the socal pro masters...

Well, CdA numbers!?!?!?

there's probably around a 15% difference between the two positions in terms of CxA.
is that 15% down to position alone,or the different frame/forks and helmet?

Yeah, I probably should have said "setups" rather than "postions" when I tried to talk about magnitudes... My bad.
My take:
2004 - 0.24 m2
2008 - 0.21 m2
Have you taken it for a full on TT race effort yet?
I did a full-on 37k-ish effort in a position similar to this last may, but not yet in this one.
I'm always a bit hesitant to put magnitudes on things like this, simply because I believe one can never know "exactly" where things are.
So, having said that, I reckon at beta=0 the position/setup ;-) on the left is somewhere in the mid 0.24's or so.
